Contemporary British Menswear Brand. ‘Fresh enough to be current, Classic enough to be timeless’.

I was really excited to get the opportunity to work alongside this cutting edge London menswear brand ‘GARDEROBE‘. Situated on one of London’s coolest streets Brick Lane, Gardrobe Clothing offers an array of fresh contempaory designs that will appeal to many. At first glance when I entered the store I wasn’t quite sure if the styles were for me, it all appeared very contemporary and more edgy than Im use to wearing, but my assumptions were quickly squashed as soon as I hit the changing rooms. These garments are all handmade and you can feel the high quality. I was lucky enough walk away with a bag full of clothes, from chic brown cognac cropped trousers, to intricate woven woollen jumpers and shirts to the trendiest jacket I now have the pleasure of owning. I’ve teamed the majority of these looks with one of my favourite pair of brogues from Dune.

Firstly there is the ‘Mixed Cable Sweater’. A luxurious grey marl light weight fitted raglan sleeve crew knit with micro mixed cable effect. This is a really soft and extremely comfortable wear, looks perfect worn on its own or layered with a shirt or plain tee underneath. The Mixed Cable retails at £170 in store or online.

Then we have the ‘Francois Sweater‘. A navy blue classic boat neck lightweight rib-top, with a wide geometric cable border around neck opening. This Renaissance piece has a complimentary slim fit, making it a great accompanying piece under a modern jacket. This went great with Garderobe’s ‘Soul Coat’ and there new stunning ‘Flight Sheepskin Jacket’. The Francois Sweater also retails at £170.

‘The Edge Cardigan’.This is a dark Navy, 80% Merino Wool, throw on cardigan with geometric cable detail at shawl and cuff with front pockets. This looked really smart with a crisp white shirt underneath. Again this wasn’t normally a look id go for, more preppy than Im used to but it really worked. I wore this with the cropped trousers and some oxblood brogues. The Edge cardigan retails at £170

The there was the ‘Cross Over Trouser’. To be honest I didn’t think id like these, the style, cut and colour isn’t what id normally go for, nor did I think they’d suit my overall look, but oh how wrong I was!  These have quickly became my all time favourite go to trouser. They are so comfortable, soft and relaxing to wear. These chic crops can be teamed up formally with a smart shirt and formal blazer, or they can be worn very casually dressed down with a sweater, t-shirt and training shoes. They looked really nice slightly turned up with some retro Stan Smiths from Adidas.  The Cross Over trousers retail at £140

lastly I have the ‘Soul Coat”. Now this is a real statement piece, according to GARDEROBE ‘for style leaders not followers’ . This is a signature Garderobe silhouette inspired by Nothern Soul. Large volume overcoat with concealed placket and wool and leather under collar detail. 100% Wool and comes in either Grey or black. When I seen this, like the Cross Over trousers I didn’t think it would suit me, but the more I try this on the more I love it. Its very different, its large, oversized, and if you’re like me and use to wearing more of a fitted slim fit look then this may take a bit getting used to. In my option Its extremely stylish and ‘high fashion’, and I must admit I had a few heads turning in Glasgow as I tried to capture some nice shots for you to see. I feel with this its all about the style, individuality, making a statement. For me it was nice, as it was all about trying something new, not sticking to the same old same old, so it was nice to step out my comfort zone and be different for a change, and isn’t that what fashions about? taking a risk? The Soul Jacket retails at £362

There were so many different pieces in the store I absolutely loved. I think I will be saving for the new ‘Flight Sheepskin Jacket’ which retails at £700. If you haven’t already seen this go check it out.Inspired by two iconic pieces of outerwear – the biker and the Flight jacket. They have taken the best aspects of both and created this luxurious yet understated monochrome piece. Made in highest grade Italian Napalan Shearling, it is not only likely to improve with wear, but also moulds to the body contour. Featuring shaped narrow sleeve, asymmetric chunky matte metal zip and sculpted shearling collar, backed with beautiful matching Italian leather for stiffness. There is also the new ‘Trench Mac’, an oversized olive trench that I absolutely loved! I’ll be waiting patiently to see if this ever goes on sale, and if it does, ITS MINE HANDS OFF!!

Head over to and check out the collection for yourself.
